WATAC Luncheons at NSW Parliament House
In 1990 WATAC NSW decided to hold a celebratory luncheon at NSW Parliament House each year with a significant speaker addressing a meaningful theme. WATAC has always invited young people from schools to join us at this luncheon in The Strangers' Dining Room. It is always an informative and enjoyable event as well as a symbolic gesture, since women are gathering in the place of government where decisions are made and we are speaking out on issues which concern us as women.
At the 20th Annual WATAC Luncheon on Friday 10th June 2016 we celebrated 30 years of WATAC life. Our guest speakers Trish and Vin Hindmarsh inspired by Ghandi’s famous quote 'BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE' delivered a wonderful address you can read here. We are grateful to be hosted in NSW Parliament House by Ms Sophie Cotsis MLC and appreciate very much the work done to facilitate our events by both Sophie's staff and the team from Parliamentary Catering.
